The Wolf Of Wall Street

So the film I watched this time is one that I wanted to watch for a very long time but i was always put off by how long it it, and that's The Wolf Of Wall Street. The Wolf Of Wall Street is directed by Martin Scorsese who you may know from his work of Goodfellas and Shutter Island, it was also written by Terence Winter who you may know from Boardwalk Empire and The Sopranos and also it was based on the book written by Jordan Belfort about his life, yes this film is based on a true story.

Ok so lets have a quick recap of the story line, based on the true story of Jordan Belfort the penny stockbroker from Long Island, who only ended up serving 22 months in a prison for defrauding investors in the 1990s security scam that involved widespread corruption on Wall Street and the corporate banking world,also including the designer Steve Madden from Steven Madden Shoes.

There is only two people who I really need to talk about in this film and that is Jordan Belort abd his partner in crime Donnie Azoff.
   Ok so we will start off with the man of the 3 hours Mister Jordan Belfort who is played by

Leonardo DiCaprio who you may know from Titanic, Inception and Django Unchained. So Jordan Belfort has one goal in life and that to get as rich as he can, he starts working on the stock market in New York for a company called LF RothsChild  were he would connect investors with stockbrokers, and on his first day within minuets he was hooked on this job and he watched the top stockbroker in the company sell a lot of Microsoft stock within a few minuets of the market opening.Within a few months he got his series 7 witch meant he was a fully licensed stockbroker. But he was hit with the worst day in the stock markets history Black Monday, October 19 1987 were all o the stock markets around the world crashed, witch meant that the company that he worked for shut its doors meaning he lost his job and had to look for a new one. That's where he found Investors center where they did things very differently, they used these things called pink sheets witch was penny stock and you got 50% of everything that you sold and thats when he started to make real money.
and this is when he met the man that would impress him the most Donnie Azoff.

Donnie Azoff is played by Jonah Hill who you may know from his work on 21 Jump Street, 22 Jump Street and Superbad. Donnie comes up to Jordan in a dinner as he sees his car and ask him by any

chance if he lives in the same building as him cause he sees the car all the time, he also ask him how much money he makes because of how nice his car is and when Jordan tells him, he does not believe him and tells him if you show me a pay stub for the amount he said he would quit his job and go to work for him and he did, he quit his job and started working for Jordan. After a while him and Jordan rent out a space and start their own company. And that when Stratton Oakmont, INC was born.





Ok so this film was amazing, I don't know why I put off watching this for so long, its amazing and i still dont know how DiCaprio hasn't got an Oscar for this film he was amazing in this film, will all of the drugs in this film and he managed to give it so much dedication ( I don't mean he went off and did a crap tone of drugs, he just did it very well in this film). so for this I am going to give this film a 9/10 I would give it a 10/10 if it wasn't for how long it was because I had to take brakes in the film cause it was so long.
