The Quiet Ones

So the film that I watched this time is the quiet ones witch was written by by a team of writers witch include  Craig Rosener who you may know from there work on the uninvited, after the sunset and half light  as well as Oren Moverman who is known for the messenger, im not there and rampart they both helped wright the film along with the director John Pogue who is known for his work on the Ghost ship,  The Skull and Quarantine 2: Terminal.

So lets have a quite summary of the film plot shall we, In 1974, in Oxford, Professor Joseph Coupland invites his introspective student Brian McNeil to film his research about the supernatural with his two assistants, Krissi Dalton and Harry Abrams, and the subject Jane Harper. Jane is a young woman with no memory from the past that has been abandoned that believes she is possessed by a doll named Evey that gives telekinetic power to her. She is kept awake in an isolated house with a doll, where Professor Coupland intends that she puts her evil energy in and then destroy the doll, that's what professor Joseph Coupland believe to the key thing to healing Jane. Strange things happen in the house and Brian feels sorry for Jane and he researches a burn that she gets in the process, learning an evil secret about the past of Jane.

So lets talk about the cast and shall we start with the head of the experiment professor
Josesph Coupland, who is played by Jared Harris who you may know for his work in sherlock holmes: a game of shadows, Lincoln and natural born killers. Professor Joseph Coupland is a professor in Cambridge who believes that he can find the cur for mental illness but there is something that isn't just quite right about the professor. while he is doing this experiment he needs to find a way to document the whole experiment in a whole so that they can make sure that nothing can be disputed that he has found the cure for mental illness and that he has found that telekinetic power can be harnessed and destroyed.but there always seems to be more to him that what you see of him.

The director that the professor finds in Brian McNeil who is played by Sam Clafin who you
may know from his roles in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and Mocking jay part 1+2 and Pirates of the Caribbean: on strange tides as well as snow white and the huntsman. so Brian McNeil is a religious up and coming director that the professor has hired to document the experiment so that they can show the whole world there amazing work that they have done. Brian doesn't know what to think of the experiment at the beginning, but when he has been around the subject Jane he started to get even more curious and started to get feelings for the subject Jane as he had never seen anyone like this before in his life and he stared to care for her, and wanted to make sure that she was safe and that she was getting what she needed.

The professor also had two colleagues that he worked with on the experiment, so ladies
first with Erin Richards who is played by Krissi Dalton who is known for his work on Open Grave and Gotham. Erin Richards is a student of the professors and she volunteers to do this experiment with him, but there seems to be some alternative reasons for her wanting to work with him even tho he is a lot older then her she seems to have feelings for him, but really it seems like she needs to be the center of attention of all of them men in the house.

The second colleague that is part of the team is Rory Fleck-Byne as Harry Adrams who you
may know from Vampire Academy and the Untitled Blues. He was also part of the professors class and thought that it would be an amazing opportunity for him and he was fully invested in the whole thing  and believed that they could really find a way to help this girl. He is more of the tech side as he monitors all of the equipment that they use to get readings off of the subject.

The subject of the whole experiment is Jane Harper who is played by Olivia Cooke who you may
know from her work on Ouija, The signal and Bates Motel. So Jane Harper is the subject of this whole experiment she believes that there is something wrong with her, that she is just mentally ill and that is the only thing but she doesn't know anything about her childhood. they got Jane from a mental asylum that didnt know what was wrong with her they couldn't give a diagnoses. But she didnt even know what was going on with herself as she cant remember what happened with her as a kid.

So lets just say that this film is quite confusing its one of thoes films that you have to sit and get into it, because i was watching this with a friend and we were both very confused and even after the film we had to sit and talk about it cause we were both so confused cause we were talking in the film. But even tho I was quite confused it was still done very well so ill give it 3 out of 10.
