Ant-Man

Ok so the film I went and saw this time is marvels new addition Ant-Man, Ant-Man was directed by Pexton Reed who you may know from his work on Yes Man, The Break Up and Bring It On. Ant-Man was written by a group of men but also the main actor Paul Rudd but we will talk about him a little bit later so lets go onto Edger Wright who was a part of the group who wrote Ant-man but you may know from his work on Shaun Of The Dead, Hot Fuzz and Scott Pilgrim Vs The World. He worked on this along with Joe Cornish who you might know for his work on Attack The block, Hot Fuzz and The Adventures Of Tintin, and last but no means we have Adam McKay who you might know from his work on Step Brothers and Anchorman 1 and 2.

Ok so lets have a little bit of a re-cap to this film, an yes I know its new out so I will try and not give away too many spoilers if any. Scott Lang is a burglar who has just been relisted from prison and wants to have a better life for himself but also his daughter as he hasn't really been in her life for very long time. But with no job, no money to provide for his little girl he goes back to the one thing hes been the best at and does one last job at this big old house, that he they had told him that would loaded with a easy haul but what he finds changes his life for the better.

So lets talk about the cast of this film and lets start with Paul Rudd who also helped write this movie, he plays the lead in this film Scott Lang/ Ant-man, but you may know him from Role Models, I Love

You,Man and The 40 Year Old Virgin.Scott Lang just wants a good dad to his daughter, but with a criminal record its hard to get job and hard to keep one when they find out why you were in prison.So that's why he goes back to doing what he is best at, braking into houses and steeling what he needs to get by, but when he gets a tip for a easy haul all he finds is a suit, witch he takes because he think it is some kind of motorcycle suit but when he tries it on  it changes his life forever.







Next we we have the creator of the suit Dr.Hank Pym who is played by Michael Douglas but you may know him from his work on films such as The Game, Basic Instinct and Falling down. Dr. Hank Pym

made a particle that helped him change the world for the better, well that is what he wants to it to do, but when a weapons developer wants to get there hands onto it he does everything in his power to make sure that it will never land in the wrong hands, until he knows he can find someone that he can trust with it.











So lets go onto his daughter Hope Van Dyne who is played by Evangeine Lily who you may know

from her work on Real Steel and The Hobbit. Hope Van Dyne works at the Pym Institute for her father but they don't have the best relationship, well that's what they want people to believe. The truth of the matter is that she is spying on the company for her father as he doesn't go into the company any more as people would be trying to steal his research to try and make the Pym Particle.

Witch leads us onto the person that she is spying on for her father, Darren Cross who is played by Corey Stoll who you may know from his work on Non-Stop and The Bourne Legacy. Darren Cross is

Dr Pyms apprentice he worked for him learning from him, mainly admiring him and his work and wanting to learn everything that he can. Until Dr Pym leaves the company, he feels betrayed and abandoned by someone who he saw as a father to him. All he wants to do is prove that he is better and smarter then Dr Pym.

Ok so my thoughts on this film is that it was amazing, the graphics in the trailers do no do it justice, honestly when I seen the trailer for the first time i thought that the graphics on the ants were going to be really cartoon looking but it was amazing, and you actually got emotionally attached to ants witch was so awesome who would of thought you would get emotionally attached to a bug. So for this film I will be giving it a rating of 7/10, I love marvel films this is gonna be in my top 10 and  I cant wait until the sequel.Please leave your thoughts and opinions on the film in the comments and please leave some suggestions of films that you would like me to check out as well.
