Mad Max: Fury Road
So thew film I watched this time is Mad Max: Fury Road, witch was directed and he also helped write Man Max: Fury Road mister George Miller but George also worked on Mad Max and Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior. Brendan McCarthy also helped write this film who you may know from his work on Coneheads and Lost In Space. there was also some else who also write this film, that person is Nick Lathouris who worked on Mad Max and Death In Brunswick.
Ok so lets have a quick re-cap of the film before talking about the cast. In a post apocalyptic Australia, a woman called Imperator Furiosa decides to rebel against a tyrannical ruler who has many wives locked away and only used for breeding as her sees them as his property and the children they are carrying the same. So Imperator Furiosa decides to help them get away from this monster and smuggles them out in her war machine to take them back to her home land, but as she is trying to get away she ends up starting a war, but on her way she picks up a man who helps to save all of their lives at any cost.
Ok so lets start of with the man of the hour, well the man of the two hours to be precise Max Rockatansky who was played by Tom Hardy who you may know from his work on films such as
Warrior, Inception and The Dark Knight Rises. So Max has been living on his own for years after the loss of his wife and children, he still hears their voices and see his child as the memories of the accident still haunts him every day, as he feels responsible for what happened to them. One day he is running away from scavengers and he just wrecks his car and get captured and used as a blood bag for a half life, but that wont stop him.Ok so next we have the half life who is using max as a blood bag Nux who is played by Nickolas Hoult who you may know from his really early work as the boy in the film About A Boy or from
X-Men Days Of Futures Past and Warm Bodies. Nux is a half life almost at the end of his life and all he wants to do is enter Valhalla in flames and glory so that when he gets there he will be welcomed as a war hero. Even though he is so ill, and hooked up to a blood bag and he knows he is dying as soon as he hears the the alarm bells he takes his steering wheel and gets into his car with his blood bag hooked to the grill of his car he embarks on to make a name for himself even if it means his own death.
So last but no means least we have the woman who starts all of commotion Imperator Furiosa with a name like that they should of known that she was gonna be trouble, she is played by the very talented
Charlize Theron who you may know from her work on films such as Promethus, Monsters and Hancock. Imperator Furiosa or just Furiosa is one of the tyrants loyal staff, she is the one that drives the war machine on every convoy to goo and get the fuel from the other city, she is a very trusted person and it took her a long time to get where she was in life, when one day she throws it all away to help these women known as the "wifes" of the tyrant but everyone else calls them the breeders as that is all that are there for is to bare his children for him and nothing more. So Furiosa decides that one day on one of the convoys that she is going to smuggles them out of their quarters and hide them in the bottom of the war machine so that wont be seen and she is going to take them to where she calls her home land "the green place".
So I have to say that I was very very impressed by this film, it was so well made and oh my goodness it was such a pretty film, and i know that sounds strange but it s such a good looking film.Right apart from the fact it looked amazing,i surprised at how good this film actually was, I haven't seen the original trilogy of mad max so this was my first time seeing on of the films and I have to say I was a little confused but I was able to work out some of the things that any one who had seen all of the films would of known as it was quite clear. So the rating I would give this film as someone who hasn't seen any of the other mad max films I would honesty give it a 8/10. So please leave in the comments on what film that you would like me to see next.
